Our Vision

At The Children’s Room our vision is to enable every child to fulfil their greatest potential. We do this by developing our educational approach based on a deep understanding of brain development in the vital first five years of life. We combine this with a culture of kindness for children, families and the invaluable team who work in our nursery.

We strive every day to create exciting and absorbing activities and environments which given children the greatest opportunity to learn.

 Our Values

Kindness: the ability to listen, support and care for each other

Inquisitive-ness: the ability to ask questions and explore

Resilience: the ability to manage when life is challenging

Connection: the ability to connect to people and place

Innovation: the ability to think in new ways

Independence: the ability to think for yourself and look after yourself

“Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul”

— Frederich Froebel

 Our Educational Approach

We have built our curriculum in line with the EYFS Framework. We strongly support the recent guidance from Development Matters which states that 'the EYFS is about how children learn, as well as what they learn. Children need opportunities to develop their own play and independent exploration. This is enjoyable and motivating. They also need adults to ‘scaffold’ their learning by giving them just enough help to achieve something they could not do independently.'

Our individually planned and purposeful activities encourage the development of children, allowing them to excel whilst in our care. We create stimulating environments for children in all our rooms full of provocations and opportunities for open ended play.

My son loves being in nursery and all of the staff are amazing and very attentive. I would definitely recommend it”
