The safety and well-being of children, families and staff is paramount at The Children’s Room. In order to ensure best practice we have comprehensive policies and procedures in place for all aspects of nursery life. We are sharing here the selection of policies we believe would be most helpful for parents to access.

First Aid & Accidents Policy
At The Children’s Room the safety of all children is paramount and we have measures in place to help to protect children. However sometimes accidents do unavoidably happen.
We follow this policy and procedure to ensure all parties are supported and cared for when accidents or incidents happen and that the circumstances of the accident or incident are reviewed with a view to minimising any future risks.

Admissions Policy
At The Children’s Room it is our intention to make our establishment genuinely accessible to all children and families from the local community and surrounding areas. Please read our policy to understand how we endeavour to achieve this.

Failure to collect a child
In the instance where a child has not been collected this is the policy we will follow.

In the case that a child requires medication at nursery then this is the policy and procedure that we follow.

Nappy Change & Toileting Policy
At The Children’s Room our nappy change policy emphasises that we support children’s care and welfare on a daily basis in line with their individual needs. Wherever possible, each child’s key person will change nappies and support toileting according to the child’s individual needs and requirements.

At The Children’s Room we believe that outings provide huge benefit for children. This is the policy we follow for all outings.

At The Children’s Room we cater to all children’s special dietary needs and intolerances. This is the policy we follow in order to keep children safe with this.
